1. Purpose
Janachetana Microfinance does not sell physical goods through this website. Online transactions, where enabled, may relate to authorized loan-related payments, repayments, service charges or other financial transactions communicated to the customer. This policy explains how payment cancellations, failed transactions, duplicate payments and eligible refunds are handled.
2. Loan Application Cancellation
An online loan enquiry or application may be cancelled by contacting Janachetana Microfinance before the relevant processing stage, subject to the terms applicable to the product and any services already provided. Submission of an application does not by itself create an automatic right to a refund.
3. Processing and Service Charges
Where a fee or charge is applicable, the amount and nature of the charge will be disclosed through the relevant product terms or payment page before payment. A fee that has already been validly incurred for a service may not be refundable unless the applicable terms, law or an approved exception provides otherwise.
4. Successful Loan Repayments
Amounts successfully received as loan repayments are applied to the relevant customer account and are not treated as refundable merely because the customer later changes their mind. If an amount has been paid in error, it may be reviewed for adjustment or refund after verification.
5. Duplicate or Excess Payment
If a customer makes a duplicate or excess payment, the Company will verify the transaction. Depending on the account status and applicable terms, the verified excess amount may be adjusted against outstanding dues or returned through an appropriate payment method.
6. Failed or Pending Online Transactions
If a bank account is debited but the transaction is not successfully recorded with Janachetana Microfinance, the customer should contact us with the transaction reference number, date, amount and proof of debit. We will verify the transaction with the relevant payment service provider and take appropriate action.
7. Refund Method and Timeline
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be processed to the original payment source or another appropriate account after verification. The time taken for the amount to appear may depend on the bank, card issuer, UPI provider or payment gateway. Customers should retain the transaction reference until the matter is resolved.
8. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions
Customers should never make payments to personal accounts, unofficial links or persons who are not authorized by Janachetana Microfinance. If you suspect an unauthorized transaction, immediately contact your bank/payment provider and inform us using the official contact details below.
9. Refund Request Information
To investigate a refund or payment issue, we may request the customer's name, registered mobile number, application or loan number, transaction reference/UTR, transaction date, amount and proof of payment. We will request only information reasonably necessary for verification.
10. No Guarantee of Instant Refund
A refund cannot be considered final until the transaction is verified and approved. Processing times may vary because payment settlement and reversal can involve banks and third-party payment providers.
11. Policy Changes
This Refund & Cancellation Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be published on this website with the applicable effective date.
12. Contact for Payment Issues
